Ciara and Luda new single coming soon

The lead single from Ciara's fourth album is called “Ride” and features Ludacris. The Atlanta natives previously collaborated on “High Price” from last year’s Fantasy Ride (which I loved but was not a hit for CiCi) and most recently on the remix to Luda’s “How Low.” The Tricky Stewart and Dream production will impact radio very soon

Usher wants Chilli back!

Today is a good day because my favorite male artist is releasing his new album. Usher's Raymond VS Raymond is released today, go cop that disc. There is a song on there titled "There Goes My Baby" and here are just some of the lyrics I get the chills whenever i see your face
and you in the place girl
feel like i'm in a movie baby
i'm like oowee baby oh
like "WATERFALLS" your hair falls down to your waist
can i get a taste girl
no need to "CREEP" cuz baby
i ain't ashamed of calling your name girl

very clever Ush

ON a recent afternoon at an airy recording studio here, Usher Raymond IV leaned back in a chair and sang along as “There Goes My Baby,” a slow-burning ballad from his forthcoming album, “Raymond v. Raymond” (Jive), played over the sound system, occasionally picking up an unlighted cigar, which he rolled in his mouth. When the song ended, this 31-year-old singer, who records under his first name, motioned for an engineer to shut the sound system off and launched into an explanation of the tune’s origins.

“The feeling of it is if you have a true connection with somebody, no matter what happens in life, it will always come back,” he said. “No matter how long it takes to make it through whatever issues pull you apart, something pulls you back together. The rest is between the lines.”

Given that Usher was recently divorced, one might think he was contemplating life with his ex-wife. But when asked if a particular lyric — “Like waterfalls, your hair falls down to your waist” — was intended as a nod and wink to his former girlfriend, Rozonda Thomas, Chili of the R&B group TLC, who scored a career-defining hit with 1994’s “Waterfalls,” Usher smiled broadly.

“Rico’s crazy, right?” he said with a laugh, referring to Rico Love who wrote the song’s lyrics. “He’s a great writer. Real tricky.”

(Rico Love, in a phone interview, admitted the nod was intentional: “I always thought Chilli and Usher were a great couple, so I did that to spark something.”)

well a few years later and BAM

Tyler is about to bring some beautiful "Colored Girls" to the screen

On April 2, Tyler Perry will probably make another big splash at the box office when "Why Did I Get Married Too?" opens nationwide. But the writer/director is already thinking about his next project, the film adaptation of Ntozake Shange's 1975 play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf."
Shange's 1975 work is based on a series of 20 poems, each of which is about a woman who is identified with a single color of the rainbow. The stories deal with a wide spectrum of topics, including love, abandonment, rape and abortion. So far Tyler has booked Janet, Mariah, Phylicia Rashad and Macy Gray. He is talking to Whoopi now, This will be huge.

"Making a film of 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf' is a dream come true for me," Perry said. "Ntozake Shange's play is a magnificent tribute to the strength and dignity of women of color, and I think audiences of all generations will be able to recognize and embrace the experiences these women represent. Creatively, this movie is one of the most exciting undertakings of my career."

"For Colored Girls" is scheduled to shoot in June in New York, and will be released in late 2010 or early 2011. Im not familiar with "For Colored girls" but with this kind of cast shaping, Ill be ther opening day.

If this is what Janet is gon look like at 60, Id still marry her.

Usher and Nicki Minaj on the set of Lil Freak

Usher just cant find that monster smash that is making everyone say "this is a hit right here" hence the reason he has so many songs out at 1 time, the one everyone seems to be feeling the most is Lil Freak which is why he probably is going forward with the video. Hope it helps, Im waiting for this album. BTW what the hell is Nicki Minaj wearing on her head now? Thats a nutty woman.

Alicia brings out Beyonce at MSG

Alicia is on to her 3rd single from her fourth album The Element of Freedom and the single is Put It In A Love Song with Beyonce. I posted the making of the video a few weeks ago, now it looks like Ms Keys is bringing it all to the stage. Currently on tour right now, Alicia stopped in New yooooooork the other night and brought out Jay Z, her boyfriend Swizz Beatz and Beyonce herself. Looks like it was a good show!

Que and Dawn get their own MTV show

Yet another reality show…sigh. Saying that, while ‘originality’ needs to return to TV with the quickness, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t going to be checking for this. With Que having been unceremoniously dumped by Day26 (who themselves are going pretty much nowhere) and Dawn still working on Diddy’s ‘Last Train To Paris’ project, it will be pretty to cool to garner some insight into how things are playing out behind the scenes. I could do without all the relationship drivel we’ll no doubt be subject to, but that wouldn’t be good TV now, would it? LOL…
